| MARY - SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:
My parents were in the family restaurant business for 47 years with multiple units. I grew up working in all facets of the business. My real estate career began in 1978. My brother and I worked together on numerous successful projects including acquisition, renovation, management and sales, of multi-family properties, both in Indianapolis and Atlanta. In 1981, I obtained a Georgia Real Estate License and in 1985, my Brokers license. During this period, I also worked for one year in new construction sales in a suburban subdivision. Later, in Atlanta, we formed our own construction company, which designed and built quality single family homes. We showcased one of our 5500 sq ft luxury homes, decorated and furnished, in the Home Expo 84, sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders. Other projects, included a commercial development of a warehouse office park and the acquisition and sale of property for two national restaurant chains. I formed Ecton Realty, Inc. brokerage in 1985. Ecton has brokered sales of a number of small properties along with the leasing and management of office space. Relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, in 1992, Ecton currently does real estate consulting in market research, boundary issues, maintenance etc. Most recently these have included out of state properties. During a 1996-97 consulting assignment with Mr. Austin, I served in a sales capacity for a computer software system. In 2003 we decided to work as a husband/wife sales team and joined ERA Kepple Keene Realtors in Louisville, Kentucky. EDUCATION: Graduate of Louisville’s Bryant-Stratton Business School; Northern Virginia Community College, AA in business; Graduate level study in management and organizational development West Carrollton University, Ga.; extensive real estate and property appraisal training. PERSONAL I love theatre & cinema, shopping, cooking, traveling and golf. TOM - SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE My strengths are management, sales, marketing, personal computer and networking technical knowledge. I am an able communicator accustomed to working with top executives. I am a logical thinker, with good presentation skills. With a strong technical foundation, I understand the technical basics of computer/networking/Internet better than most executives. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS I rose from Sales Representative to VP Sales and then VP Product & Industry Marketing, in my sixteen year career with a subsidiary of NCR (formerly National Cash Register). I developed the southeastern territory for them from a single rep and $2 million, to two fully staffed sales branches and a region headquarters producing approximately $20 million, before becoming VP Sales. The one hundred man domestic sales force produced approximately $100 million in annual revenue, under my leadership. I achieved 11 of 13 quota clubs. In a marketing capacity, I have been involved in primary and secondary research, for positioning activities, for networking products. I worked on survey and focus group projects with consultants, with database suppliers for sales leads, and developed industry specific marketing plans. Trade show planning and performance, as well as sales and customer training are also areas I have worked. More recently, I have stayed abreast of Internet development and done consulting and teaching. Consulting assignments have included early e-commerce and real estate (Internet and research related). I have taught Data Communications and Intro to PC and MicroSoft/Office, at college level. EDUCATION BA Centre College of Kentucky, Emphasis in English, Business and Psychology. Graduate level studies in Management Skills and Organizational Development at West Carrollton U., Ga. Xerox Sales Training, RCA; Product Management Workshop, NCR; Various product and industry training. COMMUNITY I have helped found and been president of homeowners associations. On a volunteer basis, I have contributed to continuing education at a local college, serving on their board of directors and curriculum committee, assisting with Internet classes and conducting study groups on world affairs. PERSONAL I stay fit playing handball and golf. The combination of skills Mary and I bring to the task of selling real estate will serve our clients well. |
